iPhone 12- Release date, leaks, Design

The new Apple iPhone 12 that's gonna be the fastest iPhone yet launched by the apple. All versions of the new iPhone 12 will of course be powered by Apple's new A14 Bionic processor this was always known as Apple will always include the new chipset with each flagship released. The new a14 however is expected to be the first ARM based mobile processors to exceed 3 gigahertz clock speed and its predecessor runs at 2.7 gigahertz. 

So it's quite an increase in performance the expected scores in terms of benchmarking are to be a Geekbench 5 single core score of 1658 which is actually 25 percent better than the a 13 and it's multi-core score is expected to be 4612 which is a 33% increase on the a13. The a14 chipset that's set to be used in the iphone 12 is going to be a 5 nanometer system-on-chip.

iPhone 12- Release date

 Apple are expected to ramp up production as early as April this year or there are issues with the current outbreak some areas seem to be containing them and it's thought that the Apple iPhone 12 will remain unaffected and release on time.

The iPhone 12 is set to launch in September as always and it's always around the second week they release.So we can expect see the iPhone 12 range on either their 8th or the 15th of September and the iPhone 12 will be released about 10 days afterwards of course being so far away.

Of course it's not only a fast chipset present in the new Apple iPhone 12. It we've already had news of a faster 802.1 a wide Wi-Fi and this is on the 60 gigahertz spectrum and it's also going to be faster in the charging department by using a new gallium nitride technology to provide up to 65 watt fast charging. The iPhone 12 is going to feature a new improved face ID system. In iOS 13 we saw speed improvements and now we're hearing of more unfortunately not much detail was given and the report described it is a refreshed face ID system personally I would imagine it's just gonna mean we'll see a faster unlock time with increased security. 

We've also got some new rumors that Apple are going to be ditching the lightning cable on the iPhone 12 now this apparently not in favor of USB type-c but actually to go completely wireless. My only source on Apple products however claimed that this is a false rumor and it's definitely not going to be happening in 2020. I have to agree that it seems a bad move to go fully wireless just yet and especially when it comes to features such as carplay very limited vehicles have wireless carplay at the moment so this would render a lot of them useless on top of that it would hugely increase the cost of the new iPhones as it would mean Apple have to provide a wireless charger in its retail packaging.

Finally we've got news of a more efficient and much thinner OLED display. When it comes to the iPhone 12 it is expected that LG will be manufacturing the displays.LG have already started upgrading production lines in the e6 facility where we expect these displays are going to be produced and new reports are suggesting that the touch sensor on the iPhone 12 is going to be integrated into the display itself rather than having it on a separate lab.This not only makes the display thinner but it's actually cheaper to produce.They're also changing to LTPO technology and this turns the individual sub pixels on or off and it's said to bring 15% power efficiency over the previous technology.Again there's still many rumors saying that there won't be a not on the Apple iPhone 12 but we have to be realistic. 

Here for a start when it comes to this sort of technology Apple that normally are not the first company to implement it.It's just not ready for consumers yet and there's no way that a plug in a chance an untested technology with its consumers.On top of that because they are gonna be continuing with face ID they need the extra sensor on the front and they need it to work quickly and reliably. There's a small chance that the sensors could be placed within a thinner bezel but again they would have to compromise on the sensor sizes.

When it comes to the iPhone 12 though one thing we haven't had leaked yet is the name.Although we're unlikely to see any radical changes so we're going to assume for this  that it's called the Apple iPhone 12s. We're expecting to get four new iPhone 12s in the range which is going to be two different iPhone 12s the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 pro max. We're expecting Apple to increase the display sizes on the most premium models although those who want to smaller display are still gonna have an option reliable analyst min Chico has advised that there's going to be two iPhone 12 versions.The small iPhone 12 is gonna have a 5.4 inch display and the larger one will have a 6.1 inch.We then get a 6.1 inch display which is the iPhone 12 Pro and a six point seven inch display which is the iPhone 12 Pro max Unlike last year.However all models are reportedly going to be using an OLED display.And the resolution will differ across the range. The 6.1 inch iPhone 12 will likely have a lower resolution than the 6.1 inch iPhone 12 pro and what there are rumors of Apple removing the knotch I really can't see this happening in typical Apple fashion. we're still expecting a full screen display with a notch top center.It's too early for in display camera sensors and I can't see Apple going for a punch hole.They also need a time-of-flight sensor on the front for their 3d face unlock and while Apple did ditched a fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 10 there were reports that it's going to be coming back in the form of an in display fingerprint scanner. There are reports suggesting that Apple are also going to be increasing their refresh rates on the latest displays.What most phones have stuck to 60 Hertz displays it's been changing recently and Apple are also going to be joining this trend. At this stage we don't know if they're going to be using 90 Hertz 120 Hertz or even a mixture of the two across the range.

iphone 12 Camera

When it comes to the rear of the device we're expecting a similar camera setup to last year but the more premium model will have more cameras. Minke quo has again advised that both the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 pro max are going to be adding time-of-flight cameras to the RAM.For those unaware time-of-flight cameras are 3d depth cameras and then what Apple uses on the front for the 3d face unlock. The time-of-flight sensors on the rear however use slightly different technology that allow it to map 3d objects from further away. This significantly improves augmented reality applications and allows for more improved portrait style photo and video.We're likely gonna see slight upgrades on the other cameras of the iPhone 12 but given the great performance in its predecessor they won't be changing things too much.Reports are suggesting that the two more budget models are going to have a dual camera setup or the iPhone 12 pro and the iPhone 12 pro max are going to have a quad camera setup with the inclusion of a 3d depth camera.The iPhone 12 is of course going to be powered by the new a14 Bionic processor.

This is actually manufactured using five nanometer lithography which will bring significant improvements and there's a good chance that it will be the first five nanometer chipset to hit the market.When it comes to ram the iPhone 12 pro max is expected to come with six gigs of ram or the standard iphone 12 will only have four.This is something that I think Apple actually do well compared to Android manufacturers where they throw in a necessarily large amount of memories causing the consumer to pay for memory that they don't even need.When it comes to storage you're expecting a choice of 64 256 or 512 gigs of internal storage for the first time ever.Consumers feel Apple did a great job in prioritizing the battery life on the predecessor.So hopefully that's something that's going to continue with the iPhone 12.What graphene batteries are still out of the question that we can expect a 5.4 inch iPhone 12 to be around 2800 milliamp hours the 6.1 inch is probably going to be around 3150 and the six point seven inch should contain around a 4300 milliamp hour battery. One thing that is a little unknown at the moment is of course a 5g connectivity Apple are very bad when it comes to 5g thanks to earlier issues with Qualcomm. So we're unsure at this stage if that's something we will see in the iPhone 12 is rumored that the iPhone 12 is going to have 5g connectivity but there aren't actually any leaks or reports to back that up.The iphone 12 is going to be IP 68 water resistant and it's of course going to ship with iOS 14.

Now when it comes to pricing we of course want lower prices on the Apple iPhone 12 but it does seem unlikely. We did however have this with the predecessor when the base iPhone was actually cheaper than the XR. Oo it's not impossible unfortunately material prices have increased this year so I expect the smallest 5.4 inch iPhone to launch at around 750 dollars or 800 pounds the 6.1 inch iPhone 12 to be around $900 or 950 pounds the 6.1 inch iPhone 12 Pro to be 1050 dollars or 1,100 pounds and finally the 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro to be about $1200 or 1250 pounds.Of course it's not all about specs and we're likely going to see some new software features or improvements to the current features in iOS 14.
