Chinese manufacturer Realme launched the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition, its first gaming-oriented model. While not including any major differences from the original X50 Pro, the company promises that games like PUBG will run at 90 frames per second on the device.

It is an equally powerful version that its brother the Realme X50 Pro that was presented in February but with some cuts and a lower price. 

General specifications are the same version of the X50 Pro 5G, released earlier this year: processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, 6.44-inch screen refresh rate of 90 Hz, with options up to 12 gigabytes of memory LPDDR5, a battery of 4,200 mAh and fast recharge at 65 W.

We will review all its characteristics because we are facing a terminal that can give a lot to talk about.

Technical characteristics of the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition

Screen and dimensions

The new Realme X50 Pro Player Edition arrives with a fairly standardized screen regarding its size, as it reaches 6.44 inches. 

Its panel is AMOLED type, it has a FullHD + resolution, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, support for HDR10 +, 1000 nits of brightness, and an integrated fingerprint sensor. 

In the upper left part it has a double perforation to house two front cameras. As for its measurements, it reaches 159 x 74.2 x 8.9 mm for a total weight of 209 grams.

The best processor to enjoy games

Inside we have all the power necessary to be considered a gaming mobile, as is the presence of the best Android processor this year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. 

It will be accompanied by 6, 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. 

To enhance the gaming experience, it includes a cooling system with a vapor chamber and graphite that will help maintain the temperature of the phone, a 4D vibration motor, and stereo speakers. 

The entire system will run under the Android 10 operating system along with the Realme UI customization layer.

With six cameras to enjoy photography

In the photographic section, the Realme X50 Pro Player edition stands out for having a total of 6 cameras. 

Four of them are located in a vertical module at the rear and are made up of a 48-megapixel main sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens, and two two-megapixel sensors each, aimed at photography in macro and a monochrome sensor. 

On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera along with a 2-megapixel sensor to help focus.

With fast charging at 65W and 5G connectivity

Autonomy is another of the highlights of this new Realme gaming terminal, not only for its battery that reaches the not inconsiderable figure of 4,200 mAh of capacity but also includes the most powerful fast charge to date of 65W with which we can load the terminal in record time.

For connectivity, the mobile comes equipped with all the essentials and the novelty of compatibility with 5G SA / NSA networks. 

In addition, it has WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB type C, headphone jack, and NFC chip, very useful for making payments in stores without having to take out your credit card.

Availability

At the moment, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has been announced for commercialization in China in the first place, which will be available from June 1 in black and gold. 

It can be purchased from 398 euros. At the moment the company's plans for an international launch of the same are unknown, but we will keep you informed in this regard.

X50 Pro vs. X50 Pro Player

The main difference between the X50 Pro and the X50 Pro Player is in the camera set, with a configuration similar to that of the X50m: main sensor of 48 megapixels, wide-angle of 8 MP, macro of 2 MP and a depth sensor of 2 MP. 

The selfies are in charge of a double set, with a 16-megapixel camera and a depth sensor with 2 MP.

The “gamer” features of the Player version consist of features already available in the X50 Pro version, such as internal steam chamber cooling, stereo sound output with high definition audio support, mode to turn off notifications during matches, and a "4D" linear vibration.
