OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro: Difference between camera, battery, and display in the phone

  • OnePlus 8 will have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refreshed rate. It will have a 2400x1080 pixel resolution. While the OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refreshed rate. It will have a 3168x1440 pixel resolution. Both have 3D Corning Gorilla Glass and an in-display fingerprint sensor. 

  • Both phones will get two options with 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB storage. The company has also launched a new 6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage variant of OnePlus in India. Both are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which is the most powerful chipset ever. Both models work on Android 10 based on Oxygen OS.
  • Apart from the display size on the phone, there is also a difference in camera setup. The OnePlus 8 has a triple rear camera, with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultraviolet sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
  • For the first time, the company is giving a quad rear camera setup in any of its phones, which will be seen in OnePlus 8 Pro. It has a 48-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX689 sensor), 8-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, and 5-megapixel color filter lens.
  • Both phones have a 16-megapixel punch hole camera (Sony IMX471 sensor) for the selfie, which is equipped with electronic image stabilization (EIS) and fixed focus features.
  • Talking about the battery, the OnePlus 8 has a 4300 mAh battery, which supports 30T fast charging. At the same time, OnePlus 8 Pro has a 4510 mAh battery which supports 30 W wireless charging in addition to 30T fast charging.

  • OnePlus's new earphone Bullets Z earphones are priced at just Rs 1,999 in India. It costs Rs 3,800 in the US. It is rated IP55 for sweat and water resistance. In addition to the super base tone, it has 9.2 mm, dynamic drivers. The earphones weighing 28 grams have a wireless range of 10 meters.
  • For connectivity, it has Bluetooth version 5 and USB Type-C port for charging.
